Voices and reactions to the resignation of Schumacher: "the first Schumi was unbeatable"

With the retirement of Michael Schumacher, the formula one loses one of its success of German models. Current and past colleagues regret the step of the record champions. Life in formula one will continue but without Schumi.
Nico Rosberg:
This is of course a huge loss for our sport. After Michael Schumacher's comeback, many have switched the TV again. But he has thought well that. I can lucky that I had him three years as team-mate. It was a hammer experience for me. The Exchange team has worked always very well. I have the greatest respect for his performance. After a three year break on this level to come back, it is incredibly difficult.
Sebastian Vettel:
The resignation is a great pity. This is a great loss for F1. He was for many years a large part of the formula 1. The last three years, we had lots of fun with him. It has certainly not just as many for him would have liked. The car has not been produced simply it. Unfortunately, he could not show that he is still on it. He had to prove but nothing more. For me, he is still one of the largest. We will miss him in any case. It was always something special to go against him.
Timo Glock:
I have huge respect before that he came back after three years, and has delivered again as a performance. The name of Schumacher has always done well the formula 1 and that would have remained so. I told him a few weeks ago, that he should continue. I've even offered to him, that I talk with my team time (grins). He has only laughed. It's definitely a loss for sport. But how, I know Michael, has he thought carefully the decision and know that it is right for him.
Lewis Hamilton:
Michael has achieved so amazingly much in his career. It is almost surreal, when I think that I I drive him already on television saw, when I grew up. Now I had to race the opportunity against such a legend. Because I can feel really privileged. He has given so much to this sport.
Jenson button
Michael simply had an outstanding career in this sport. He stepped down from the resignation, because he loves the racing so much. And it's still fun to him. He has achieved more than we all - and more than we probably ever will achieve. Since one must have great respect before. We have looked up to him as a youngster. He was the one who you wanted to be like.
Johnny Herbert:
He is no longer the youngest. He says his batteries are empty. He had a great career. I would have like to so much success as he. At least five percent. There was unfortunately no other decision for him. The change to clean or a step backwards would be Williams. Michael is but here, victories and not to ride with. There were already many great riders who has lost the formula one. With Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, Jenson button and Lewis Hamilton, we have but four good riders who can take his place. Many say that it was a sad day for formula 1. But also his first resignation was no biggie.
Martin Brundle:
I'm not one who can judge whether the decision is right. Had he hit it but four weeks ago, it would have been more elegant. Now it looks a little as he would have been deported. I find that a pity for him. His comeback was not a success. I would not describe but also it as an error. His records remain forever. That not scratching at his Memorial. He has become human in his second career. He was relaxed. Life in F1 goes on but. Now, a new hero is sought.
Alex Wurz:
The resignation expired slightly hectic. But formula one is just so fast-moving. It does not stop even before a great champion like Michael Schumacher. He has achieved much insane. It will be hard for others to get this kind of popularity. The fans and the media must be the boys as much attention, as they gave Schumacher. This is certainly somewhat more difficult, because Michael has begun at a time, the F1 was media not so present. Unfortunately, the last three years were not as successful as he imagined it. But I don't think that he has damaged his reputation so. Many say that he was no longer the first Schumi. But we know that the first Schumi was unbeatable.
Niki Lauda:
I find it sad and a pity for all Motorsport, but that changes nothing to the fact that Michael Schumacher has made a decision for himself. And he has taken this decision only for themselves and not for us, we have to respect. (...) You made this decision not accept IFS and buts. That is why I would warn urgently now because to interpret any fantasies. All these discussions are absurd. I prefer the CAP before Michael Schumacher, because I believe he is as siebenmaliger world champion of the best race car driver, since the existence of the racing series.
Romain Grosjean:
Michael Schumacher has written history, is extremely well known and extremely talented. He has done outstanding achievements with Ferrari. His return to F1 was slightly bumpy, but nevertheless I have supplied a few beautiful duels me with him. If you see him in the rearview mirror, this is still Michael Schumacher.
